Student Requirements

• All students ages 10 through high school are eligible to participate.

• Each student will be required to audition on piano, performing two pieces of music in contrasting styles and demonstrate the ability to read music on the grand staff.

• Applicants should identify a practice venue they will use. Contact us if you need assistance with finding a practice instrument.

• Students will be provided the music for this program, with the expectation that they devote at least three one-hour practice times between teaching sessions.

• Students will participate in concluding recital which will involve performing 2 pieces assigned by their SOE instructor.

• Students will be required to have their own transportation to and from lessons, classes, and any other SOE programming.

  We encourage all students to continue their piano studies after completing this program.

Costs

All instruction and sheet music are supplied free of charge; the program is entirely supported by donors.
